In my country it is believed that there are special dishes and drinks which can help in conceiving.

Two examples of these male libido enhancing dishes are: Soup no.5 and Bat n Balls, both are made out of the sex organ or genitals of a cow or sometimes a local carabao. It is said and believed by most people here that eating a soup and drinking the broth made by boiling beef genitals and other special herbs and spices for 4-8 hours would greatly enhance the virility and potency of a man and even a woman.

    Do you have similar beliefs?

I actually don't believe all that because we had that problem of conceiving before. The first suggestion was seafood because fresh seafood can make you fertile, that's for the male and female. That soup #5 is also just like the religious dance in the town of Obando where the woman can get pregnant after dancing. There's also the pork barbecue that I heard in one rural town. They say that it will make you virile and productive with the sperm and the egg cells. Pardon me for saying but all those talks about fertility are myth.

Maybe @Alexandoy is right, I think there are no scientific studies yet proving those dishes can help couples conceive. But for me, as long as they aren't contraindicated for a certain health condition, there is no harm in trying to eat those foods. That is if you love exotic foods, haha.

our body has its own unique way of doing its task - for women of reproductive age - of course to conceive by the natural process. but there are instances when you or your partner have certain conditions that inhibit your from achieving such, so better see a specialist to make sure of it and follow proper medical advices. but if somehow you are curious of such practices like eating those dishes, then you can still actually do so, given that they are not contraindicated to you.

I'm open to the idea of trying it, but not that much.

Making sure you eat healthy should be enough if you are trying to get pregnant. I don't think there are specific foods that one should be eating, when trying.
