The "NO" stage

    toddlerhood is the stage where most of their answers or response is "NO" since they are under the psychosocial development crisis of "autonomy vs. shame and doubt". one technique to address this is to avoid giving them questions answerable by "yes or no", but give them options instead. for example, instead of saying, "do you want to eat now?" say, "what do you want to eat now, cereals or bread?"
