The normal pregnancy lasts 9 months. How many times should a pregnant woman visit gynecologist/obstetrician during her pregnancy days?

When the lady first conceives she should see her gyno. The gyno then will give dates for subsequent visits and ultrasounds.

Depending on the health of the baby and expectant mother, the visits are scheduled. The visits becomes more during the last month where the doctor would like to follow up on weekly basis and advice the right type of delivery option and probable dates.

After the first visit, the gynecologist tells you your next visit. They usually write it down in a clinic book that you will use every time you go for checkups during the pregnancy.

It will depend on individual case, if the pregnancy is complicated or the woman has some underlying conditions like diabetes, hypertension, other gynaec related complications etc. then she may need to visit the doctor frequently. The doctor will make it clear at each visit when she should see them again, just follow that schedule./
