I was bothered upon seeing the CCTV video of a nanny who was very cruel with her ward. The toddler was crying and the nanny wanted the toddler to shut up so she hit the head of the toddler and pinched the cheek. Not content, the toddler was kicked on the butt. If I were the parent of that toddler for sure that nanny would go to jail.
That's downright evil. I think I watched that video before. Here in our household, we have a rule to not get a nanny. True it'd be more difficult, but at least...it's safer.
I have watched similar videos of such cruel nannies. It is so disturbing for the parents to know that the very person you trusted to take care of your child is abusing him in such a cruel and disgusting manner. This is the very reason why you should never trust your babies with other people. The very reason why I gave up my job.
That's why parents should always monitor their children via hidden cameras if they are being mistreated by their nanny, or better yet, go to an agency to be able to get a trusted nanny.
That's terrible. That's cruelty. That nanny should be put to jail. What she did would create a trauma to the kid. It's good that there's a CCTV. That would be a solid evidence against her. She needs to be accused and put to jail because of her cruelty to the kid.
There is a lot of similar videos online, I can attest to that. Personally, there is one in particular that made me really angry. This housekeeper picked up the toddler after she had buffed and tossed her across the room and proceeded to step on her while on the floor. After seeing that, I would never trust my kids with anyone.
My goodness! That is some extreme, I mean picking up kids and throwing them across the room. The person doing is not a nanny but a bloody psychopathic murdered who should not be allowed to roam freely! That too near kids!
It's terrible to think that this isn't even a one-off case, my heart wrenches every time I hear stories like this popping up in the news. I fear for all of the cases that are never exposed, the parents completely oblivious. We recently published an enormous guide on choosing a good babysitter / nanny that we're trying to get out as far as possible to help make parents make smart, safe hires. If you know anybody that could benefit from it, it would be wonderful if you could share.
In fairness to the parents of an abused baby, both parents have a job to keep so they entrust their baby to a nanny. Usually the grandmother stays in the house but what if only the nanny is left with the baby? I know that those are almost isolated cases but the abuse can be minor to major. Minor that the baby is left crying no matter what up to the point of slapping the baby as an outlet for the frustration of the nanny.
It is a video from Kenya, go look it up on youtube. It is just disgusting, trust me. What bothers me though is, how many cases go unnoticed because parents don't have nanny-cams installed! I mean, can you just imagine how many of these killer-nannys (because that is what they are!!!) are roaming around freely because there is no evidence?! It is SCARY!!!
I agree that there are cases that go unnoticed simply because there is no monitoring system. Now with the cctv, the nanny cannot freely do whatever immoral or illegal act she plans. I had seen one video in Hongkong where the nanny kept on slapping the baby because he was crying. Slapping would make the baby cry more so more slapping. If that was my baby, I could kill that nanny.
These acts cause damage to the toddlers both physically and mentally, whether we choose to see it or not. But trained and more cautious parents would immediately spot a difference in a child's demeanor in general. Taking care of your own child until they come of age is the only way to ensure they grow up safe and healthy; physically, mentally and spiritually.
