The chemicals in lasting and semi-permanent hair dyes aren't highly poisonous. Numerous ladies choose to delay to color their hair up till after giving birth. When the hazard of chemical substance hurting the baby is much lower. Only a little quantity of hair dye may be consumed by the skin leaving little that would be able to reach the fetus.
Proper operating conditions such as wearing gloves, not consuming in work areas, and good ventilation is major to control exposure. Would you dye your hair during pregnancy?

I have to agree that there are hair dyes with toxic chemicals. The question is why dye the hair during pregnancy, what is the reason? If the pregnancy is very important then everything can be sacrificed. A pregnant woman I know stopped drinking coffee because she thinks the caffeine can affect the baby in her womb.

It's actually an issue for a pregnant woman to dye her hair for a dye has a chemical whether it is non toxic. It's better not to take any chances for the sake of the baby.

Well we know there are pregnant women who are sociable and they want to be in and fashionable. But a precaution is necessary.

Our love for our children should be before our own. You are preparing to give life so social and fashion trends shouldn't matter. I would so much love to get away maybe a vacation whilst being pregnant, to just relax and await my child. You can always dye after giving birth and take cool portraits with your newborn.

When a doubt sets in it is best that it is left out. "When in doubt leave it out" is a famous saying. What's the need to dye the hair unless one is going for an interview or has to do modelling - just a thought.

I dyed my hair cause I love it white. I thought it looked better that way. I didn't have an interview to attend or modelling. I had just conceived. I don't know about you though. Some people do things sometimes cause they just like them better. I wouldn't suggest dyeing while pregnant.

This is an interesting topic. To be honest, I don't know much about it.

I've asked one of our expert writers to look into this further, there will be an article on it over on our blog pretty soon I think!

I cannot wait to read the blog. But at the end of the day you will find ladies doing whatever they like or whatever is trending.
