How to conceive boys!!!?

I was as shocked as you are when I read this information on a local newspaper. I don't know about you but am hearing it for the first time. They claim that mutton and other foods can increase the chances of concieving boys. Has anyone heard of this? and is it true?

 

Well I do not know about eating something to conceive a baby boy. But I did read about certain positions during sex which increases the chances of having a baby boy. Well we did tried them but we do not have results yet so I am not that sure with the results of what I have read if they are real.

 

I am hearing for the first time that eating mutton can increase the chances of conceiving a male child. What I know is that if there is sufficient sex at exactly the ovulation period of the woman a boy maybe conceived more easily. The male sex cell with Y chromosomes swims faster, more active and can easily strike the egg first during ovulation. The same Y chromosome do not live as long as X chromosome in the woman.

 

I have not heard about "mutton" but I was told that if men consumes seeds of holy basil, his wife will be pregnant with a boy. These are lies. Gender of the baby is depended on the paring of the chromosomes of father and mother.

 

Haha, thanks for some good laughs, but I don't think there is any supplement or food than can influence if we will have boys or girls. If we are talking about genetic manipulation, that's another thing, but I honestly prefer to let mother nature take it's course and surprise us with her choice.

 

I'm certainly the wrong person to ask, ha ha. If there is a way, I clearly don't know anything about it. I have four kids and they are all girls.

This is the only option that I've heard of that I think might actually stand a chance. Even so, it may just be the odds. I think we get what we are meant to have.

 

When I was younger, I had this chart from a Chinese friend about selecting the gender of the baby for conception. It has the ages of the couple which intersects in a particular day – at is the best time to have sex in order to have a baby boy or a baby girl (depending on the day). Obviously there is no scientific basis for that but some of my friends have testimonies that the chart was correct.

 

I am not sure if you can really do to determine the sex of your baby in advance. It is all about X and Y chromosome which determine the sex of a baby. If there are two X then it is going to be a girl and if it is one Y and one X it is a boy. Now if you take the help of an fertility expert and manage to fix this issue then the chances are that you get your desired result otherwise you know what I mean.

 

Some radiologists are said to determine the sex of the "baby" as young as six weeks. However, it is not known how accurate is their readings. However, there a 12-13 weeks "baby" can be categorized as a boy or girl. Baby's gender is based on the matching of XX chromosomes (mother) and XY chromosomes (father)

 

It is very much possible with the help of ultra sound technology by the end of 8 weeks pregnancy but the OP is interested to know whether a mother could conceive a boy for sure. It is not after that she has conceived but she wants to make sure that she carries a boy for sure.

 

I have read somewhere about a specific time of the day for the couple to have sex and to have a baby boy. It has been said there that it is scientifically proven. I never paid much to that study for I have already 6 children who are too much for a meager income earner like me to have more children. I am very sorry I forgot that article from our national dailies which published that claim.

 

I quite agree with you on that we should be grateful to God for whatever sex we get. In this modern times where women compete favorably with men or even better I don't think sex of a child should be any problem. What matters most is having the best of children. This sex issue has been a big problem especially in developing countries.

 

Lol. I mean are people even serious! If eating mutton would give baby boys, I think all non vegetarians will have a house full of boys only!

A gender of a baby can't be predicted unless it is a test tube baby or IVF which is a selective process.

 

I agree, there is no way parents can have a baby of their choice by eating differently or taking any medicines. There is absolutely no way they can change the chromosome required to determine the sex of the baby by any outside means.

 

There is no credible way to determine the sex of your baby beforehand by outside means outside of some kind of Gattaca-style genetic engineering. There's old wives' tales and clickbait Facebook articles about eating such-and-such foods, or drinking a special elixir, or jumping backwards three times under the harvest moon (I'm being semi-facetious), but nothing I'd attach any serious consideration to.

 

The truth remains the gender of a baby cannot be predicted as you rightly said @Decentlady , we can only try which is subject to go either way.
The believe that eating mutton can help in conceiving a boy has no basis. I also read in the news sometime ago that eating of yams can also lead to giving birth to boys. The fact remains these are just beliefs which have no scientific explanation.

 

I think all these beliefs that a child of your choice is possible started from countries where boys are preferred to girls and the quacks took the advantage by spreading rumors that they can do it by prescribing special diets. In some cases fake religious gurus also hooked unsuspecting would be parents in order to earn money.

I haven't heard about mutton helping to produce a boy child, but I have heard about eating salt helps to produce a boy. I don't know if it is really true or not, though. Why not just let be what should be? Be thankful to be able to get pregnant and go full term, and pray that the infant is born healthy with all its bits and pieces in the right place.

 

I have observed with my mom who had conceived 3 kids but only gave birth to 2, that that Chinese gender chart is accurate. Me and my brother's gender is "correct" as predicted. Getting more boys than girls in society is a massively bad idea. Now, I know fathers want boys cause they think they can play sports better with them, relate to them more, and have them carry on the family name. However, they are not thinking things thru. Also, it's ironic how they hate girl babies but they drool over adult women.

OK, as noted in another comment I made, look at China. There are too many single men and these men have serious emotional problems due to the situation. We can blame it all on this favoritism for male babies in China and the fact technology allows parents to see what gender the baby will be.

 

Much of this information is, in fact, true. It is coming more and more into the light these days with each advancement of knowledge. How awesome is that, friends?

 

Haha,,,, I have heard of many theories but not this one. It's been a good way to start a day. When I was in high school, our physics teacher used to say that if we wanted a boy, couples should get intimate very late in the night. His argument was that male chromosomes are nocturnal.

A friend of mine, told me that in their tribe, they believe that if you want a boy, your wife should immediately sit on a chair, that the father had sat on, when he stands from it. Well, I have no right to prove or disapprove any of these myths, but I think what @tony has said is quite insightful. At least I can buy that for now.

 

I think any "method" will work as well (or not) as the next. I believe we get the children that we are meant to have. While the mutton theory is interesting and appears to have a logical explanation, I just don't think we can change things like that. If God wants you to have a girl, I don't think eating different foods is going to change that.

As long as the baby is healthy that is the main concern.

 

Haha I don't think there is a way to determine the sex of a baby before birth. I know a lot has been written about this and some health professional will say this method works above one, but I will not believe this to be true in any form. There is still a lot of research or work that needs to be done in this field.

 

I've heard that diet is supposed to help if you want to conceive one sex or the other. Personally I didn't care as long as they were healthy but I think some cultures prefer boys.

Men determine the sex of a baby and was reading an article which said that a man with many brothers is likely to have sons and a man with many sisters is likely to have girls. I have no idea how much truth there is in it though as my dad was an only child!

 

I heard the ''periods'' seasons of a woman is the one which determines the gender of the child to be conceived, together with the mating time/day. I'll do a research on this to get the fact, and I'll get back. Otherwise, these comments/ opinions have been of help.

 

I am not sure I believe anything I hear when it comes to this, although I do seem to keep reading how much easier it is for people to choose what type of kids that they have. This is usually more scientific though and something you have to pay for, versus just relying on other information, but you never know.
