The IVF - in vitro fertilization - also called test tube baby is having an issue with morality. It was said that the IVF produces many zygotes or embryos meaning the start of life. But the parents want only 1 or 2 at the most. What happens now to the rest of the embryos? If they are the start of life then throwing them away or killing them is like killing lives according to advocates of pro-life.
This is one of those topics that tends to illicit strong opinions on both ends of the spectrum. It's actually an argument / political debate here in the United States on whether or not IVF and surrogacy should be allowed - in what circumstances, if financial compensation (for surrogates) is permitted, etc. Adoption is a nightmare for so many people here, so I can understand why people pursue IVF or surrogacy if they're unable to have a child on their own. I think the progression of IVF has been a miracle for these families.
It is not easy to speak about matters IVF since it weighs so much on people's consciousness. Life is precious and it should be protected no matter what. To some, morals don't matter as long as science advances, and this is very dangerous. We don't want to have a Frankenstein case on our hands, do we?!!!
I am advocate of abortion because I think that a woman has the right to kill a life that came from her in the in the 1st place. She shouldn't put up with raising a child that she doesn't want.
