Some children have their dreams of what they would be even before entering school. When the dream becomes an ambition in grade school, it is only right for the parents to nurture that dream in the mind of the child. However, some ambition should be changed like one who wants to be a doctor which is impossible for financial ability of the parents. But definitely parents should instill a sense of determination when it comes to the future career of the children.

That's true, most children who were determined to pursue a college degree as a kid are more often than not, determined to have a good future, so the parents should prepare for that expense-wise.

You should nurture the dreams of a child, but you know how that goes, from one week to another - they change their minds quite often, about what they want to be and why. To help the child out, you can nourish and motivate them to be more goal oriented, and help them to dream high also. Make sure they stick to their goals and stay the course, and not quit, because the journey is getting to hard - but it's ok if the they change their mind - if because the child wants to try something new as well, and not quit because things have become hard.
