Each time I have a party for the kids from an Institute I create games with always a message. In this game I made them stand in a circle and at the whistle they had to rush to centre and grab as many sweets that were lying there. Those who got the most and those who did not get any were identified and the ones who got the most had to share them with those who did not get any. All were happy
Wow, this is great! This is the proper way to teach children. They remember well when it is thought through such fun activities. Congrats, that was very creative indeed. High Five!
I don't get it. Why the students have to grab many candies as they could and then share it to those who have gotten less? What is the message then? What moral lesson they will get? Why not give the candies to the students equally?
It is about sharing that which is yours with a friend. Those in society who are fortunate should always look out for those that aren't.
I remember how happy the kids were when they gifted those sweets to those who could not get any and they were appreciated by all around.
I love the title of this topic. It is also my fervent desire to make children understand that life is not always receiving and that there is also joy in giving. Some kids do not know that because their upbringing is more on the selfishness and greed. Pardon me for generalizing, I am talking through my experiences and based on what I see.
There is another game where they have to form groups of a particular number. If for example 8 is announced they will all rush and if they there are 9 they will push out one and if there are 7 they will pull out one from another group. Hilarious. This game under discussion is something like football how one fights for that ball There is lot to learn in this game and most important of all kids enjoy such games.
That is the main point of this game. Teaching kids to share with those less fortunate and at the same time they enjoy playing. It was fun watching them play.
Not whoever but me. I always create games for kids and this is one such and with a message. They enjoy and at the same time learn something.
I guess it is to test if the students will be generous enough and will share the sweets to other kids. It's a good way to gauge if the kid is greedy.
I have to give you your props @iamawriter for a job well done. It is not that often you get to see people with such kind of thinking.
Once one gets the taste of enjoying the results of giving I am sure there will be more who will do that. It is a different kind of happiness when you have helped someone in need.
It has a lot to do with the upbringing. But when those who have never shared see the others doing it with jpoy that does induce them to share as well. There will have to be a repeat of such events to inculcate the habit of sharing.
The atmosphere that was created it gave them joy sharing and hopefully they will continue with that thought as they grow. There is so much joy in giving.
