Did you know your baby is born with all 20 of its milk teeth? They are in there, you just can't see them yet because they are underneath of their gums. Baby's start to teethe when they are about 5 to 7 months old. And some baby's are even born with a couple of them on rare occasions.:)

Knowing the signs and symptoms of teething can be very helpful. Drooling would be the first sign to look for and sometimes a drooling rash develops. Every now and then check your baby's gums to see if they are inflamed or swollen, also a rise in temperature, crankiness, waking up at night and diarrhea are also symptoms.:(

There are many Teething products on the market today to give your baby some relief, whether it is teething rings or over the counter gels, they are not only helpful for the baby but Mommy & Daddy also:)

The baby is being restless. He keeps on crying and he couldn't fall asleep. And he gets a fever. Well, as you have said, the baby's gum is swollen. His gum looks as if there are something that are about to sprout. These things are protruding. The baby keeps on salivating. With those signs, the baby is on the process of giving off his milk teeth.

Teething varies with toddler to toddler both symptom wise and age wise. Some toddlers are late to teeth while others are earlier. Some have absolutely no symptoms while others actually get sick.

While using teething products are helpful they can also be unhealthy as at this age the children often throw them down on the floor and then put them back into the mouth. Chances of Gastrointestinal problems may also be high in cases of dirty environment in such cases.

The teething stage of the baby is one phase to be careful with. Parents or caretakers should be aware of the itchy gums of the baby that the baby has the tendency to bite on anything. Letting tge baby do that can get microbes from the dirty objects.
