On the first New Year's eve of my daughter, we stayed inside the bedroom with a blaring radio to deaden the noise of the firecrackers. We understand that the baby would be jolted or even traumatized. And now that firecrackers are already banned, there's still the fireworks. My advice to parents is not to expose your baby to the sight of fireworks unless you are sure that your baby will appreciate it.

How's your New Year everyone? I hope you had a blast! I'm sure most of us are hopeful for better things this year. Whatever it is you're wishing for this year, we hope you finally get them :)

We celebrated the New Year peacefully, @Alexandoy - no loud, annoying sounds, just a bit of fireworks. My kids are all grown up so no worries about exposing them unnecessarily. But for babies, it's another story. Some babies can be frightened by loud noises so I hope parents with babies were extra careful during the New Year's eve celebration.
